I began my career the way most people do...out of necessity. Little did I know, becoming an electrician would change my path forever, and bring me closer to the community I grew up in; the same community in which I raise my family.
Beginnings
Dan sat me down. He knew I needed a career, as I had a young son and a family to feed. He said I could interview for an apprenticeship at the school he helped run. He also said...
"Zach, I meet with these business owners all day. Do you think they are the smartest guys in the room? No, they aren't. They are good ole boys, who worked really hard, and figured it out. And I know you can, too."

I could become an Electrician, but maybe, if I work really hard, and I figure it all out, I could become more than that...
Learning
Dan's belief in me sparked something I didn't know was there. I spent the next four years working on industrial large scale construction projects. I had never worn a hard hat in my life and had never stepped foot on a construction site. But I knew I needed to learn, and I knew I needed to prove myself... fast.

I passed the Journeyman test in two years. I passed the Master test a year later. I began doing electrical work for my family, friends, and the neighbors I grew up with, the same neighborhood in which I was raising my children. Soon I had enough work right in my own backyard, and I noticed a trend....
